Christopher Shewbarran, Psy.D.
Licensed Clinical Psychologist
My name is Dr. Christopher Shewbarran, and I’m a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Nevada. I graduated from the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University, San Francisco Bay Area, where I completed a Doctorate of Psychology (Psy.D.) specialized in Clinical Psychology. I’ve had the privilege and opportunity to work with many diverse populations throughout my career thus far, including children, adolescents, and adults in individual, group, and family therapy settings, experiencing various symptoms and stressors. While my therapeutic approach is rooted in evidence based practices, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, and exposure therapy, I am open to utilizing many different therapeutic practices, approaches, and techniques that may be beneficial to the clients and families I work with and serve.
I have many interests, including being an advocate for mental health and psychology. Currently, I serve as President of the Nevada Psychological Association and I am a member of different committees.
I am also an avid sports fan of my hometown teams in Tampa, Florida, which include the Tampa Bay Lightning, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Tampa Bay Rays, and since residing in the Las Vegas area, the Vegas Golden Knights and Las Vegas Raiders.
